I want to talk about these Alvin and the Chipmunks glasses, but before I go I have to set up this bit by explaining the plot of A Canticle for Leibowitz, a book written by Walter M.
My mom still has some of those glasses! and I might actually still have a few buried deep in a cupboard somewhere. I loved "Canticle for Liebowitz" back in the day (I think I read it in the 90s?), along with "Nightfall" by Asimov and someone (Silverberg?), which is also about humanity f*cking things up and going with the simplicity of religion instead of science.

I collect these glasses as well. I have great memories of asking mom to go to BK to get Empire Strikes Back glasses. I rotate my drinking glasses between whatever glasses I've found and some red "Pizza Hut" cups. I'm currently working on completing a set of Great Muppet Caper glasses.

I remember those ice cream cups well and I believe the ones I have now were among my first acquisitions when I started collected various memorabilia.
